Nikkeisha was founded in 1942 as the advertising agency designed to service the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Japan's leading business daily.

With branches opened throughout Japan, Nikkeisha develops into a full service advertising agency.

The International Account Division is established in 1963 to service domestic clients as they expand their activities overseas.

1970s |

The branch network expands to 13 offices nationwide. In 1977 total billings pass the 10 billion mark for the first time.

1980s |

Continuing growth sees the head office move to our present location in Tokyo's bustling Ginza district. We acquire the right to market one of the Nikkei Group's first on-line data systems, Nikkei Telecom in 1984. In 1987 the London office is established, followed by the opening of a joint venture in New York with Doremus & Co. in 1989.

Total billings pass the 50 billion mark for the first time in 1990. We celebrate our 50th anniversary in 1992. 1995 sees the establishment of our Internet service.
In 1996, responding to the varied requirements of our growing multimedia business, a new company under the Nikkeisha banner, NKS Data, is created.
1998 sees our successful entry into the realm of cyber-business. |
